A rare find from the short-lived Salvia line by Pentik, this pair of porcelain cups features a soft white glaze and gently rounded profile. The shape is pared-down and modern, with a satisfying weight and smooth, slightly glossy finish. Stamped ‘Salvia Finland’ on the base in signature blue script.
Salvia was a small experimental line launched by Pentik in the late 1970s to early 1980s. Focused on minimal, everyday-use ceramics, it never saw large-scale production — which makes pieces like these surprisingly hard to come by. In over a decade of vintage hunting, we’ve only ever come across a few of these cups - and only these two in this glaze.
A beautiful and functional duo for coffee or tea. Understated, rare, and very easy to live with.

ABOUT SALVIA – Salvia was a short-run sub-brand by Pentik, Finland’s iconic ceramics house, produced in the late 1970s and early 1980s. Intended as a more streamlined and modern offering for everyday use, the Salvia line included minimalist porcelain cups, bowls, and plates with clean forms and quiet glazes. Due to its brief production window and limited distribution, Salvia pieces are now rarely seen on the vintage market.
