Wheel-thrown from speckled stoneware and glazed in rich, earthy brown, it features integrated pulled handles and a softly flared rim — the kind of shape that feels both ancient and quietly modern. The spiral turning marks and natural glaze variation give it depth and a grounded, organic mood.
This is a signed studio piece, likely Nordic and made between the 1960s and 1980s. While we can't identify the signature, the quality of work is unmistakable — professionally thrown, cleanly trimmed, and confidently glazed. It reflects the influence of Japanese and Scandinavian pottery traditions that shaped Nordic ceramics during the mid-century era: simple forms, honest materials, everyday beauty.
