NOTE ON THE ARTIST - Asger Jorn (1914–1973) was a Danish painter, sculptor, ceramicist, and all-around cultural force — best known as a founding member of both the CoBrA group and Situationist International. His work is spontaneous, and wildly expressive, drawing from Nordic mythology, folk art, surrealism, and early abstract painting. Jorn’s style evolved across media and decades, but his energy remained unmistakable: vibrant colors, twisted figures, and raw textures.
