A beautifully textured glass bowl from Humppila, Finland – Nordic glass design at its most organic. The surface ripples outward like frozen waves. Heavy, sculptural, and wonderfully balanced in the hand, it’s both a decorative object and a functional serving piece.
Produced by Humppilan Lasi during the 1960s–70s, when the glassworks became known for its expressive pressed glass forms. The radiating fluted design reflects the era’s strong connection to ice, light and nature-inspired patterns – closely aligned with the Finnish modernist glass tradition shaped by designers like Tapio and Tauno Wirkkala.
Perfect as a centrepiece, fruit bowl, or simply to add clarity and texture to a table or shelf. Its strong form and subtle shimmer work equally well in minimalist, vintage, or contemporary interiors.

ABOUT HUMPPILAN LASI
Founded in 1952 in the Finnish village of Humppila, the glassworks became known for its expressive pressed glass and bold organic forms. Humppila collaborated with several designers throughout the 1960s–70s, creating functional yet decorative pieces that embodied the natural light and texture of Finnish glass design.
