Vintage Nordic Modernist Glass Bowl by Humppila - Finland, Mid-Century

A beautifully textured glass bowl from Humppila, Finland – Nordic glass design at its most organic. The surface ripples outward like frozen waves. Heavy, sculptural, and wonderfully balanced in the hand, it’s both a decorative object and a functional serving piece.

Produced by Humppilan Lasi during the 1960s–70s, when the glassworks became known for its expressive pressed glass forms. The radiating fluted design reflects the era’s strong connection to ice, light and nature-inspired patterns – closely aligned with the Finnish modernist glass tradition shaped by designers like Tapio and Tauno Wirkkala.
