Vintage Mid-Century Indigo Dessert Coupes - Set of 4

Elegant and beautifully toned, this set of four vintage dessert coupes is made of ultra-thin glass with a rarely-seen indigo hue. Each piece is hand-blown with a rounded bowl and a low, flared foot — a graceful and functional silhouette that feels as fresh now as it did in the 50s.

The deep violet-indigo tone and elegant shape suggest limited production, likely by a smaller glassworks. Stylistically they point to Central European glassmaking traditions of the mid-20th century, where richly colored, thin-blown pieces were made for export. 

PLEASE NOTE: these look deeper blue in the pictures than they do in real life — the actual tone has a lot more violet in it! We’ll be adding a few natural light shots shortly to show the actual colour.

Hard to find in a matching set, especially in this condition - they have hardly been used. Some small irregularities in the glass - such as small bubbles or surface quirks typical of the manufacturing techniques of the time — add character and confirm the vintage origin of this stunning little set.

Perfect for fruit, sorbet, and if you ask us, anything spiked with limoncello.
