A tall glass pitcher made in Italy’s Empoli region during the 1960s - 1970s. Crafted from rich green glass with a glossy surface and embossed fruit motifs, including pineapple, lemon, and cherry. The curved handle is exaggerated and sculptural, with a little thumb rest at the top for easy pouring. The scalloped spout adds a bit of drama to the otherwise clean cylindrical form.
Empoli glassmakers were masters of playful form and vibrant colour, known for saturated colours, eccentric shapes, and everyday functionality. This pitcher is a pretty example of all that, basically a little piece of Italian glass history in full fruit-bowl mode. Perfect for water, sangria, or punch. Especially good on a garden table in the summer, catching sunlight and serving mood.
