Vintage Frosted Glass Table Lamp - Monica Backström for LampGustaf - Sweden, 1970s

A table lamp designed by Monica Backström for LampGustaf in 1970s Sweden. Made from white mottled glass, with a softly rounded, pear-like form that sits low and wide.
A good example of Backström’s more expressive side within Scandinavian design. The form is relaxed and slightly playful, while still grounded and easy to place. The glass has a soft, dense pattern that diffuses the light evenly. When lit, it gives off a warm, calm glow.
A piece that works best as a low light. On a bedside table, a shelf, or anywhere you want a softer atmosphere rather than direct light.
