A beautifully balanced set of six matching cups and saucers in deep brown glaze - timeless Arabia design with that unmistakable 1980s warmth. The KR form, designed by Inkeri Leivo in 1983, combines soft organic curves with everyday practicality. Simple, solid, and quietly elegant.
Designed during Arabia’s strong design era of the 1980s, the KR series reflects Leivo’s characteristic sense of proportion and calm - a modernist expression of natural shapes and materials.
We love how these sit somewhere between functional stoneware and refined tableware. The glaze has a subtle speckled depth, the shapes stack neatly, and the whole set feels cohesive and easy to live with - ideal for coffee, tea, or even small desserts. Excellent condition, almost unused.

NOTE ON THE DESIGNER
Inkeri Leivo (1944–2010) was one of Arabia’s most important post-war designers. Working at the factory for over four decades, she created some of its most enduring forms, from the minimal Arctica to the expressive Harlekin. Her KR series captures the essence of her approach – soft-edged modernism rooted in everyday life.
