A chunky little amber ashtray with that unmistakable mid-century vibe - solid in the hand, smooth around the edges, and full of warm, glowing colour. The rounded triangular shape feels almost modernist, while the pressed grid texture underneath gives it a graphic look when the light hits just right.
The maker is unknown, but the form and technique point clearly toward Swedish pressed glass from the 1960s–70s. Several small glassworks produced these weighty, sculptural pieces for homes, offices, and hotel lobbies — practical objects with a surprising amount of attitude.
We love this one on a desk or side table as a catch-all for keys, coins, or jewelry. It has real presence for its size, and the amber tone brings a soft, old-school warmth to any space.
