A sculptural little dish with an unusual form and a luminous turquoise glaze. The soft triangle shape with raised centre suggests it was likely designed as an ashtray, but it works just as well as a decorative catch-all or sculptural accent. The glaze is matte with subtle tonal variation and tiny surface crystals gathered in the centre – a beautiful, accidental detail.
Likely made in Sweden or Denmark in the 1960s–70s, the style and finish align with Scandinavian studio pottery of the era. Though unsigned, the shape and glaze suggest a small-batch or artisan-made piece.
A rare little oddity with loads of character. Perfect on its own or as part of a layered, curated shelf.
