Tall Handmade Ceramic Vase – France, 1970s

A striking handmade vase in warm, golden-brown tones, wheel-thrown in stoneware and glazed with layered, earthy variation. The slender shape and ridged surface give it a strong silhouette, with quiet movement in the glaze that shifts from matte ochre to glossy rust. Signed on the base in fluid cobalt script.
Made in France during the 1970s, this piece is part of a lesser-known but clearly distinctive studio production — possibly from southern France. The surface is full of subtle irregularities and glaze runs that make it clear this was made by hand, not machine. Perfect with or without flowers - will add grounded warmth to any setting.
