A modern classic in bold blue and white. This rectangular tray by Marimekko features the iconic 'Piccolo' pattern designed by Vuokko Eskolin-Nurmesniemi in 1953, with irregular stripes nodding to hand-painted brushstrokes. 'Piccolo' remains one of the most recognisable pattern in Finnish design history: timeless, with a clean and vibrant energy that works beautifully with both vintage and contemporary pieces.
This tray was made in Finland from laminated birch plywood – a Marimekko staple known for its practicality and graphic strength. The base has some light wear - not visible when in use. The top is in excellent vintage condition. Lightweight yet durable, it’s perfect for serving drinks or breakfast in bed.
