A small but satisfyingly heavy pewter dish with a soft oval form and a gently stepped rim. The surface has an even, time-worn sheen, with fine scratches and handling marks that add to its character. Simple, solid, and quietly confident.
The base is stamped with several marks, including Zinn 95%, indicating high-grade pewter, along with additional workshop stamps. Pieces like this were commonly made in German and Austrian workshops in the mid-20th century, where pewter was valued for its weight, durability, and everyday usefulness - made to be handled, used, and kept close. We love the weight and honesty of it.
Easy and versatile to use. A good size for keys, jewellery, or small essentials. It also has a surprisingly festive feel - we’d happily bring it out for marzipan. The kind of piece that shifts easily between everyday and occasion.
