A one-of-a-kind hand-carved burl wood bowl with an expressive, organic shape and rich honey-toned grain. This small footed piece was likely made in Finland in the mid-1900s, and showcases the natural irregularities and wild beauty typical of burl wood. The bowl’s flowing contours and textured surface give it a sculptural presence, while the polished finish adds warmth and softness.
A fine example of traditional Finnish folk art, this bowl was made from a rare growth pattern found in birch trees. A great addition to any home that values nature-inspired design and Nordic craftsmanship. Would make a perfect trinket bowl for jewelry, but works also as an art object on its own.
