The Halla series has more rounded forms than Riekko, but the same speckled glaze and grounded vibe. Designed by Peter Winquist and handcrafted in the early days of Pentik’s Posio ceramics studio — note the original logo on the base.

ABOUT PENTIK
Founded in 1971 in Posio, Lapland, Pentik is still the northernmost ceramics studio in the world. The early years were defined by chunky forms, organic textures, and natural glazes inspired by the northern landscape. We love original Pentik for its subtle Nordic groove — raw, functional, and surprisingly modern. Most of our favorite pieces were handcrafted in the 1970s, when production was small-scale and hands-on. These early works are now sought after by collectors and fans of mid-century Finnish ceramics, and many are getting hard to find. What’s best about them? They were made to last — and after all this time, they still hold up in everyday use.
