This large 19th century root basket is a piece of authentic history. Handwoven of birch root sometime during 1800's - 1890's. Very likely made in Sweden. Will definitely add warmth and character to any space.
Perfect for light storage use, such as magazines. It's actually quite sturdy, but we wouldn't recommend heavy-duty use. If we treat it with the gentleness this antique basket deserves after years of hard work, it will outlive us all and stick around for the next 150 years. What a bridge between centuries.
In good antique condition. Wear and patina consistent with age and use.
