A rare and expressive ceramic wall relief by Swedish artist Eva Hellbom. This handmade piece features bold, abstract shapes in rich deep blue, forest green, burgundy, and plum tones, set against a textured grey background. The surface is sculpted in low relief and decorated with a mix of glazes and matte finishes, giving it a vivid yet weathered look.
The relief is signed on the back with Hellbom's distinctive eye motif and "EVA" signature. Likely made in the 1970s, it captures a moment in Nordic studio ceramics where artistic wall pieces blurred the line between craft and contemporary art. The composition suggests stylised birds or fish, rendered with graphic strength and mythic undertones.
A one-of-a-kind collectible for fans of Nordic ceramics and folk-inspired modernism.
