Pair of Brass Bird Figurines – West Germany, 1970's

Charming, chubby, and full of character. This pair of solid brass bird figurines is beautifully cast with stylised bodies and fan-shaped tails — one perched tall and curious, the other in a low, rounded stance. Both have a warm patina and glossy surface that catches the light in that rich, golden way only aged brass can.

Marked with the original “Garantiert Massiv Messing” sticker, these were most likely produced in West Germany during the 1970's, a period when brass décor was enjoying its heyday. These birds belong to a family of decorative objects made for export — often gifted, often collected, and still widely adored by lovers of vintage design and quirky charm.
