Pair of vintage stoneware mugs designed by Richard Lindh for the "Saimaa" series,  manufactured by Arabia in the early 1980's. We love this minimalist, postmodern design featuring a simple blue rim on pale gray stoneware. (Don't mix it with "Fennica" which has a brown rim instead of blue!)

"Saimaa" was in production from 1980 to 1985 and was one of the many variations of Arabia's S-model series designed by Ulla Procope in the 1960's. This sought-after, hard-to-find mug size includes a large handle instead of the more common small one, making it the perfect coffee cup. Sturdy tableware suitable for everyday use.

In perfect vintage condition, no wear from age and use.

Height 9 cm
Ø 8,5 cm

Sold as a pair. The price includes both mugs.

CONDITION & DETAILS

All our pieces are pre-loved — some contemporary, most vintage — and sold in their current condition including any signs of age or use, like patina, wear, fading, or minor flaws. Many vintage items also carry production marks from the manufacturing methods of their time. These details are very much a guarantee of authenticity, adding to the warmth and character of pieces with history.

We photograph and describe each piece as clearly as we can, so you know exactly what you’re getting. Please review the photos and descriptions before ordering, and if anything’s unclear, just reach out - we’re happy to help.
