A cheerful cluster of Murano art glass fruit - a pumpkin, two pears, and a chili pepper - each one hand-blown and finished with a glossy green stem. The colors are bright and full of life, with flecked interiors inside cased glass.
Murano glassmakers began producing decorative fruit and vegetable forms in the mid-20th century, combining traditional techniques with a playful sense of everyday beauty. These objects were both souvenirs and collectible art glass, and today they stand as reminders of the period’s mix of craft and charm.
Displayed together, this set works almost like a small glass still life: full of color, texture, and vibrant energy. The chili has lost its tip, but the rest are in excellent condition.
