Mid-Century Teak Ice Bucket by Wiggers – Denmark, 1960s

A mid-century Danish wooden container with a quietly assured presence — and one we don’t come across often. Cylindrical in form, built from carefully joined wooden staves, and finished with a fitted lid and a turned knob that sits comfortably in the hand. The proportions are generous but restrained, and the shifting grain gives the surface a subtle, rhythmic pattern that really comes into its own in person.

It feels solid and purposeful in use - clearly designed as a functional object rather than a decorative one. The removable plastic liner makes it practical as an ice bucket or for everyday storage, while protecting the wood.
