A silver brooch with a softly rounded, shield-like shape and a finely worked floral motif. The flowers are crisp and stylised, carved with a steady hand and a rhythm that feels folk-inspired.
Designed by G. Fröberg in Sweden and dated 1950. The word Lappland is engraved at the lower edge, grounding the design in northern Swedish tradition while the overall form remains controlled and distinctly mid-century.
The brooch has a solid feel in the hand and a notably sturdy clasp. The pin is secured with a small latch that must be switched right to release it - a slightly rarer mechanism that keeps the brooch firmly in place when worn.
A solid, well-made piece with lasting appeal. Works well on knitwear, outerwear, or a simple dress, adding detail without taking over.
