Hand-thrown, earthy, and quietly elegant. This pair of cylindrical stoneware jars features loop handles and a deep glaze in rich oxblood, smoky blue, and muted clay.

Mid-century studio ceramics often embraced irregular glazes, hand-made forms, and decorative motifs rooted in both modernist abstraction and folk traditions. Likely made in Denmark or Sweden in the 1960's–70's, these jars channel the studio pottery spirit of the time — raw textures, graphic rhythm, and functionality. One has a small firing crack on the base edge, formed during production. Still, the pair is in excellent vintage condition and ready for everyday use or display. Possibly once lidded, but now just as lovely and practical without.

Glazed stoneware
