This tall, conical decanter carries a strong modernist silhouette, accented by coral, black and gold painted stripes. The form is mid-century in origin, but the decorative details nod back to Art Deco elegance - a combination that feels both refined and bold.
Postwar European glassmakers combined modernist forms with decorative traditions, resulting in pieces that balance utility and ornament. This decanter captures that spirit: clear function with a touch of glamour, blending mid-century modernism and Deco-inspired sophistication.
The glass itself is in excellent condition with no chips or cracks. The hand-painted decoration shows visible wear, especially on the gold stripe around the body and in places on the black and pink stripes. This wear is typical for vintage painted glass of the period and doesn’t affect use - if anything, it adds to the authentic vintage character of the piece.
Made for serving wine or spirits, it doubles as a striking display piece. A rare and collectible example of mid-century European glass design.
