A studio-made jar with a strong personality. The matte brown stoneware exterior is carved with sweeping graphic lines and accented with turquoise — a small but confident burst of colour that brings the whole piece to life. Inside, a deep black glossy glaze adds contrast and depth.
Made and signed by Finnish ceramic artist Eero Kaarnisto in Turku, this jar is a great example of the lively surface treatments and sculptural language that marked much of his studio work. A functional and quietly expressive piece.
Perfect for jewellery, salt, secrets, or just to admire on its own.

NOTE ON THE MAKER - Eero Kaarnisto (b. 1931) is a Finnish ceramic artist known for his experimental forms and surface work. He worked as a ceramic teacher in Turku for many years, influencing a generation of Finnish potters. His own pieces often blend utility and art with a clear studio aesthetic.
