Large Speckled Vintage Stoneware Bowl – France 1950's

Likely produced in France during the 1950's–60's, this piece reflects the mid-century shift toward durable, everyday ceramics with design value. The base is stamped by the maker with a decorative crest featuring a crown and shield flanked by leaves, along with the word “INALTERABLE” – a common mid-century French mark used to denote durability.
With its earthy glaze, generous proportions, and weighty feel, the bowl is a great example of French utilitarian pottery: functional, sturdy, and quietly elegant. This is one of the hard-to-find gems that don't come by too often. Perfect for salads, fruit, bread, or simply as a centrepiece for seasonal arrangements. The perfect balance of function and form. Will look stunning in any setting.
