A beautiful set of vintage egg cups from Pentik’s ‘Koivu’ series, based on Peter Winquist’s original 1975 ‘Riekko’ design. Crafted in the small Lapland town of Posio, this later version features a smooth brown glaze with rust-coloured speckling and the same clean, sculptural form. It’s a slightly more refined take on the original classic.
Sturdy cups for daily use. Perfect for soft-boiled eggs, but also great for dips, soy sauce or tealights.

NOTE ON THE DESIGNER - Peter Winquist (b. 1943) was one of Pentik’s first ceramic artists, known for his clean, practical forms and subtle Nordic palette. His designs helped shape the identity of Pentik during its formative years in the 1970s.
ABOUT PENTIK - Pentik is a beloved Finnish design brand known for its warm, earthy aesthetic and deep roots in Nordic pottery. Founded in 1971 by Anu Pentik, the company began as a small ceramics studio in Posio, Lapland, making it the northernmost ceramics factory in the world. We love the way early Pentik pieces capture the spirit of the 1970’s with their raw textures, natural glazes, and sculptural forms inspired by the northern landscape. Long before “slow design” became a thing, Pentik was creating timeless pieces that combined craftsmanship and high quality materials. Today, vintage Pentik ceramics are sought-after collectibles, treasured for their authenticity and quiet character.
