Elegant and textural, this set of tall vintage glasses was designed by Tapio Wirkkala and produced by Iittala in the 1960s. Model number 2065, known simply as Wirkkala's juice glass, features a vertically ribbed surface that plays beautifully with light and enhances grip. A design that still feels fresh, six decades on.

Often confused with Wirkkala’s Viiru series, which was only produced in clear glass, model 2065 stands apart with its slimmer silhouette, full-length ridges, and stunning colour range. These juice glasses were made in four shades: clear, deep blue, amber, and a rich plum-red.

Matching sets in excellent condition are getting increasingly hard to find — especially in this moody, atmospheric shade of blue. This set is a versatile classic: perfect as everyday water glasses for the dinner table, or for serving sparkling water with a slice of lemon, iced tea, or tall cocktails like a gin & tonic.

NOTE ON THE DESIGNER - Tapio Wirkkala (1915–1985) was an extraordinarily versatile Finnish designer and sculptor, whose career took off internationally in the early 1950’s when Finnish industrial design made a splash at the Milan Triennials of 1951 and 1954. A leading figure of post-war design, Wirkkala is perhaps best known for his groundbreaking work in glass, creating everything from sculptural art pieces to everyday tableware for Iittala. Wirkkala also designed furniture, lighting, plastic tableware, and even jewelry, leaving a lasting legacy on Finnish design. Many of his iconic creations are still in production today. To put it simply: Wirkkala is the rock star of Finnish modernism.
