A bold and beautifully balanced ceramic bowl from the Kyyrölän Savi workshop in Hämeenlinna, Finland. Handthrown from red clay and glazed in a dark, speckled brown with subtle banding around the middle, this substantial piece features a classic form with a slightly flared rim and deep belly. The surface texture and glaze give it a rich, earthy presence, reflecting the studio's blend of functional tradition and expressive artistry.

Uschanoff’s work often walks the line between utilitarian and expressive, and this bowl is a great example of that. It’s robust and functional, but also sculptural enough to live as a standalone object.

Perfect for serving, displaying, or just admiring — we love it in the mix with other Finnish ceramics or rustic textures.

NOTE ON THE MAKER - Kyyrölän Savi is a Finnish family-run pottery founded in 1972 in Hämeenlinna. The workshop became known for its honest, functional stoneware and richly glazed surfaces. Pieces signed by members of the Uschanoff family are appreciated for their quietly expressive forms and connection to Finland’s ceramic heritage.
