A playful, hand-shaped glass banana in a vivid yellow, finished with a glossy purple-ish black tip. The surface shows fine internal striations from the glass being pulled and shaped while hot - details that give it movement and a very human feel. It’s solid in the hand, smooth but not slick, with that slight visual vibration you only get from handmade glass.
Signed on the end by the maker, this piece sits comfortably in the space between art object and everyday delight. It doesn’t try to be precious. It’s cheerful, a little cheeky, and surprisingly versatile - just as happy on a shelf or coffee table as it is mixed into a still life with ceramics and books. The colour alone lifts a room; the form does the rest.
