Beautifully crafted stoneware teapot by Finnish ceramic artist Seija Palonen, made and signed in 1977. This one’s all about honest form and timeless function — wheel-thrown with a rich, dark brown glaze and perfectly balanced proportions. The wide, rounded body and gently flared spout give it a sculptural, tactile feel, while the hand-signed base adds that extra level of intimacy and authenticity. A quiet everyday object elevated to the level of art.
This piece was made in Rovaniemi, where Palonen worked for much of her career. A rare, signed find that feels as at home in a collector's cabinet as it does in your daily tea ritual.
