A sleek and timeless pair of salad servers made of 18/10 stainless steel and black plastic, manufactured by Hackman in Finland. A minimal, sculptural look typical of mid-century Finnish design. Based on the stamps, this pair is likely from the 1990’s to early 2000’s.
Designed by renowned Finnish designer and silversmith Bertel Gardberg, celebrated for his elegant, understated, and functional designs. The ’Lion’ series for Hackman is one of Gardberg’s most iconic contributions to Finnish design. Originally designed in the 1950s, the line became widely beloved for its timeless form, high quality, and practical beauty. It has been produced in various versions over the years, both vintage and contemporary, but all share Gardberg’s hallmark of refined, modernist elegance.
