The palette is deep and saturated, with inky black outlines. Hand-signed on the reverse and still with the original Arabia Handicraft label on the front.

This signed series is one of Olin’s lesser-seen works for Arabia, crafted during the 1960s and 70s. The form sits somewhere between art tile and ceramic painting, combining surface depth with graphic clarity. NOTE ON THE ARTIST - Gunvor Olin-Grönqvist (1928–2005) was one of the most beloved designers at Arabia, where she worked from 1951 into the 1990s. Best known for her Kosmos and Fructus series, she also produced many hand-finished art pieces – including these tiles – which merged Nordic folk influences with modernist abstraction.
