NOTE ON THE DESIGNER - Rudolf Schröter (1897–1965) is considered the father of modern Czechoslovakian pressed glass. His designs from the 1920's–30's were groundbreaking, combining functionalist principles with decorative flair. This cherry motif was originally part of the Barolac line by the Inwald Company and remains one of the most recognisable patterns in Czech glass design.
