A beautifully weighted mid-century glass object, designed by Jaakko Niemi for Nuutajärvi in 1958. This piece combines subtle frosted and polished surfaces in pale grey, forming a rounded shape that feels both elemental and expertly resolved. A quiet study in contrasts — soft vs. sharp, light vs. dense — and a fine example of the functional elegance that defined Finnish glass in the post-war period.
Originally created as a paperweight or decorative desk object, but holds up effortlessly today as a small sculptural detail for shelf, table or still life arrangement.
