Beautifully understated and quietly graphic — this set of six dinner plates from Arabia’s ‘Saara’ series is all about timeless everyday elegance. Designed by Anja Jaatinen-Winqvist in the 1970's, the plates feature a crisp white center framed by deep inky blues and soft greys. The hand-painted decorations have just enough variation to give each piece subtle character, especially in the way they catch the light.
‘Saara’ is a classic example of post-war Finnish tableware design: functional, durable, and thoughtfully styled for both daily use and slow dinners with friends. These plates are in excellent condition, which is rare for pieces of this age.
Perfect if you love clean Nordic lines but want something with a bit more warmth and depth than plain white porcelain. These look stunning on wood, linen, concrete — you name it.

NOTE ON THE DESIGNER – Anja Jaatinen-Winqvist was one of Arabia’s key designers during the 1960's and 70's. Known for her clean yet expressive style, she often combined earthy glazes with functional forms. The ‘Saara’ series shows her talent for creating tableware that feels both grounded and elegant — everyday pieces with a sense of occasion.

We ship mostly with the Finnish Post Office, but please contact us if you prefer another option.

Pick up your order from our pick-up point at Nomen Nescio during their opening hours. We deliver orders to Helsinki every Monday, so your order will be ready for pick-up at 15:00 on the next Monday after we've received your order. Orders placed on Sunday before 18:00 can be delivered to our pick-up point during the next day.
