A small but iconic piece of Finnish design, this lidded stoneware jar from Arabia’s beloved Ruska series was originally made for sugar – but we love it for salt, spices, tea, or even matches. The form is classic Ulla Procopé: honest, practical, and beautifully proportioned. The deep, mottled brown glaze gives each piece its own character, and this one is especially rich and well-balanced.
This jar was made in October 1969, and still has its original base stamp intact – a rare detail for Ruska, as the stamp was applied over the glaze and usually wore off with use. A functional classic that still holds its quiet charm.
